Connecting a PTZ Camera to the DVR

1. Unravel the Camera Cable and separate the two ends. Each end contains three connections, with a PURPLE sticker attached to the video connections.

2. Locate the PURPLE sticker that says "Connect to Camera". It is attached to the SILVER connection that provides video.

3. Take the SILVER video connection from the Camera Cable and insert it into the YELLOW video connection attached to the PTZ camera. Twist the connection to make sure it locks in place.

Your Loocam device features a security lock on our Camera Cable which will lock the cables in place ensuring a safe and constant connection. Line up the pin, push in and turn clockwise.

4. Take the BLACK power connection from the Camera Cable and attach it to the RED power connection on the PTZ camera.

5. Take the remaining GREEN PTZ connection from the Camera Cable and attach it to the GREEN PTZ connection on the PTZ camera. They will snap together.

6. Locate the PURPLE sticker on the opposite end of the Camera Cable that says "Connect to DVR".

7. Take the SILVER connection that has the "Connect to DVR" sticker and connect it to the DVR under the desired channel. Twist the connection to make sure it locks in place.

Don’t forget to use the security lock. Line up the pin, push in and turn clockwise.

8. Using the screwdriver loosen the screws on the PTZ controller located on the back of the DVR.

9. Insert the PTZ connectors into the PTZ controller. The RED pin connection labelled RS485A/+ is inserted into the left + slot. The BLACK pin connection labelled RS485B/- is inserted into the right - slot. Use the screwdriver to tighten the screws on the PTZ controller until the pins are firmly in place.

Please take care to not over-tighten the screws as it may damage your PTZ connectors.

10. Take the remaining BLACK connection on the Camera Cable and insert it into the BLACK connection on the Camera Power Adapter.

11. Connect the Camera Power Adapter to a surge protector or power outlet. To protect your Loocam device we recommend using a surge protector to prevent against electrical damage.
